Sperm
Sperm are tiny, motile germ cells that are produced by the man’s body in the testicles. They are necessary to conceive a child. During ejaculation, millions of sperm are released from the penis together with the seminal fluid ( ejaculate).
The most important task of the sperm is to swim to the woman’s egg and fertilize it. If this is successful, a pregnancy can occur. For this to work, the sperm must be healthy, sufficiently numerous and have good motility.
