Prof. Alessandro Littara
Prof. Alessandro Littara is an internationally recognized expert in surgical penis enlargement and specializes in andrology and sexual medicine .
Until 2016, he was an honorary professor of urogenital reconstructive surgery at the University of Pisa and has since been head of training at the International Academy of Penoplasty.
Since the mid-1990s, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to surgical penis enlargement and thus has an exceptionally long and comprehensive experience in this sensitive field.

Who is generally eligible for penis enlargement surgery?
Whether penis enlargement surgery makes sense is discussed individually in a personal consultation. Decisive factors include anatomical requirements, general state of health and realistic expectations of the procedure.
How safe is penis enlargement surgery?
Penis enlargement surgery has been a well-known surgical procedure for many years. When performed by appropriately specialized and experienced specialists, it is considered low-risk. As with any surgical procedure, risks cannot be completely ruled out and are discussed in detail beforehand.
What results can realistically be expected?
Span: 3.8 – 8.1 cm extension
The lengthening data refer to the SPL, i.e. the scientifically defined erection length measurement.
We only use the body’s own tissue because it is very low-risk and prevents permanent pain after the operation or serious infections caused by foreign bodies. This naturally leads to different results from patient to patient.
The thickening is carried out in the same procedure in aesthetic proportion to the lengthening achieved. The average aesthetic increase in circumference is approx. 3.2 cm. More is possible, but would result in an unnatural appearance.

How does penis enlargement surgery work?
The exact procedure will be explained in detail during the medical consultation. The operation is usually performed on an outpatient basis according to a defined medical procedure.
How long does the stay in Darmstadt last?
We have been performing the operation on an outpatient basis for over 20 years. The patient can return home on the same day, but as with any outpatient operation, an accompanying person is required. Otherwise, the patient stays until the next day.
Is the procedure painful and what type of anesthesia is used?
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and gentle twilight sleep. Patients who have been operated on by Prof. Alessandro Littara very rarely report pain after the operation – at most a muscle ache-like pressure for 2 to 4 days.
How long does the healing phase take after the operation?
The fact that we perform the operation as an outpatient procedure and our decades of experience mean that patients with office work can return to work the next day. Patients with physical work should take a week’s vacation. It is important to refrain from sexual intercourse and increased sporting activity for 5 weeks.
Will scars remain or will there be functional limitations?
Every surgical procedure leaves scars, but thanks to the suturing technique developed by Prof. Alessandro Littara, these fade almost invisibly. The procedure does not impair erectile function or any other function of the penis. Surgical penis enlargement is a restructuring of the penis on the pelvic bone. It does not interfere with the organ itself or any of its functional elements.
When are sports and sexual intercourse possible again?
Sports activities and sexual intercourse should be resumed after 5 weeks at the earliest. The recommended period depends on the individual healing process.
